How to shape a tree:
1.Begin with the bottom section inserted into the tree stand. Start with the branches close to the middle of the tree; pull the individual tips alternately upward and outward working your way to the tip of the branches. Work row by row to the upper part of the tree section. When you complete a section, add the next section and continue to shape each branch as described above. |
2.Once you have reached the top of the tree, step back and look at the tree from a distance. This will allow you to look for areas that need a bit more shaping to fill in any gaps. Be sure to pay special attention to where the sections come together, and adjust the branches to be sure that the sections are seamless throughout the whole tree. |
3.If you have a pre-lit tree, shape the tree with the lights turned on to ensure that the lights are operating correctly. |
