This happens when you soak coffee in the container for a long time and the bolt becomes stained by coffee. It can be cleaned by soaking in acidic liquids (vinegar, lemon juice, etc.) for a while. The stain will fall off and the bolt will revert to a new look. |
304 Stainless Steel ScrewsThe screws are made of stainless steel materials which will not rust or loosen easily. Please tighten the screw to prevent the beaker from falling off after removing for cleaning. If the screw becomes loose, use a screwdriver to tighten it and then you can continue to use the french press. |

With one hand fixing the knob on the top of the plunger, you can use the other hand to twist the filter screen holder/plate counter-clockwise.
