Adhesive Mats are manufactured to create a stack of polyethylene film sheets coated with a specially treated pressure sensitive adhesive on the exposed and mounting surfaces. The mat adhesive film effectively captures dirt and dust from foot-traffic and equipment wheels (or wheelchairs) before they enter the controlled environment being protected. Valutek sticky mats typically come in 30 sheets per pad and have corner tabs that are consecutively numbered to show the number of remaining sheets.

Prepare Mat Location Select entrance locations where traffic passes through to your critical environment. The sticky mat must be positioned correctly in the entryway being protected, to ensure sufficient contact with all foot or wheel-borne traffic, and capture their transported contaminants. It is important that the optimal mat size is selected and the orientation of the mat is correct to ensure maximum contact of operator footwear and cart wheels. Tabbed mat corners should be closest to doorway being protected. Uneven, damaged & non-hard surfaces are not recommended for sticky mats. Hard, smooth, floor surfaces are ideal mat locations. Consider using a sticky mat frame where appropriate. Ensure flooring surfaces are smooth and clean before placing the mat at the entrance to your cleanroom or critical environment. We suggest cleaning the surgace using an Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) water solution (70% IPA - 30% Deionized water) to remove adhesive accumulation.	Adhere Mat to Floor Remove mat bottom protective film. Pull white tab to remove bottom layer protective clear film. DO NOT accidentally also remove the bottom layer of the mat (as this will remove your mat to floor adhesion layer). Adhere sticky mat to floor. Align mat by touching one corner only. Once desired position and orientation are correct, lower mat to floor. Use a steady, even force to ensure that the entire mat is in contact with the floor surface. Walk on the mat (while top protective layer is still attached), to apply additional pressure and ensure full mat surface is securely affixed to floor or sticky mat frame. Pay special attention that corners & edges are affixed correctly to the floor or mat frame.	Peel Off Mat Film Peel off mat top protective film. Start at the tabbed corner (which should be closest to the doorway) and work your way into the middle of the mat rolling the film into a ball as you go. The Tacky Mat is now ready for use.	Peel For New Layer Monitor particulate build-up & expose new clean layers. To change a mat layer, peel off the top dirty layer being removed to expose the next layer below. The proper way to remove a tack sheet is to roll it up on itself. Our recommendation is to pull the sheet back gradually into a ball in order to avoid generating a static charge and releasing particles.
