Complete your exhaust repair with Walker accessories. Designed for consistent performance to support undercar exhaust components, Walker hardware and accessories are manufactured with premium materials. Use Walker accessories when installing Walker catalytic converters, mufflers, and pipe to keep connections sealed and avoid additional stress placed on exhaust components.
Designed with the right compression strength to ensure a secure connection and inhibit leaks, Walker spring bolt kits are made from high-quality materials for durability and long life. Walker spring bolts kits are designed to be used with ball and socket joints.
HANGERS
Manufactured from quality steel for long life, Walker hangers are designed with OE-style features for easy installation. Offered in a variety of styles and sizes, Walker hangers secure undercar exhaust components.
INSULATORS
Designed with OE-style features for easy installation and fit and constructed with high-quality materials for long service life, Walker insulators support the exhaust system by absorbing vibrations from the engine, reducing exhaust system noise and vibration.
GASKETS & CLAMPS
Made from high-quality materials, Walker gaskets and clamps are designed to work with OE exhaust components and Walker aftermarket replacement parts. You can count on Walker gaskets and clamps to inhibit leaks and resist heat for long-lasting performance.
Vital for fuel economy and the environment, your vehicle’s exhaust system carries away harmful gases that are created during the combustion process. The exhaust system not only keeps dangerous gases like carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides and hydrocarbons from entering the cabin but it also "cleans up" the gases before they are released into the environment. Here are the components of an exhaust system:
Manifold/Manifold Converters
Flex Pipes
Catalytic Converters
Oxygen (O2) Sensor Ports
Isolators/Gaskets/Clamps
Resonator Assemblies/Pipe Accessories
Mufflers/Muffler Assemblies
PREVENTING STRESS ON EXHAUST HANGERS
Installing new exhaust components without neutralizing the entire system can place unnecessary strain on the hangers and isolators, causing premature component failure or excessive noise and vibration inside the vehicle. To alleviate this tension, loosen all exhaust clamps and flange joints at operating temperature; reposition any affected components until isolators hang freely with no tension; and finish up by tightening all connections starting from the front of the vehicle.
HOW TO TORQUE FLANGES
Progressively tighten bolts on flanges to avoid exhaust system leaks, gasket & stud failure and premature system fatigue & failure. For example, if the nuts require 60-ft-lbs of torque, start by torquing all nuts to 20-ft-lbs, then 40-ft-lbs and finish at 60-ft-lbs. For Y-pipes secure both sides simultaneously, tightening in a rotating sequence between both pipes. For manifold converters, begin sequence in the middle & work evenly out between both sides.
HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT CLAMP
Manufactured from premium steel, Walker clamps are available in multiple varieties of saddle, band and wire ring clamps. Selecting the correct clamp style is critical for achieving desired levels of sealability, durability and serviceability. May require separate purchase.
