Vittoria is a town and commune in the province of Ragusa, Sicily, southern Italy. With its 62,748 inhabitants. Vittoria is the second most populated municipality of the province of Ragusa after Ragusa. The town, which is gracefully laid out on a chessboard pattern, was founded in 1607 by and named after Vittoria Colonna. Significant landmarks include; the Madre church, the Santa Maria delle Grazie church, and the Neoclassical Teatro Comunale. Currently, Vittoria is also an important market centre for wine and olive oil and also exports early fruit and vegmetables.
