- When using the voice recorder app on my galaxy S20+ I get a background/digital hiss that ruins the audio. Is there a way to fix this?
Answer:
Hello customer, for this problem, you could try wiping the usb-c plug of the microphone and the type-C jack on the phone with a damp paper towel or alcohol of more than 90% purity.
- How good is its noise cancelling element?
Answer:
The only noise cancelling element that I have found is the inclusion of a deadkitten (artificial fur wind shield). It seems to work relatively well in normal conditions. However I have not tested it in extreme conditions such as one might use while biking or skiing or sailing.
The lapel mics are pretty small, though so it may be something that could be sheltered in a jacket or under a bandana. Without the deadkitten, it acts like any other microphone that pics up wind noise.
However, I have used it to record videos with relatively loud background noises - lawnmower and leaf blowers operating outside. At the time I was afraid that it would pick it up, but because the mic is designed to pick up what's right in front of it, the outside noise did not record.
I've been pretty happy with it.
