Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) is an outlet that is designed to protect the user from electric current and serious injury from taking place. Industry guidance recommends GFCIs should be tested once a month to make sure it is working properly.
However, users can have peace of mind if they forget to perform this periodic testing as our GFCIs come integrated with a Self-Test, Safe-Lock and End-of-Life Monitoring functions.
Once installed, this technology continuously monitors whether the receptacle is working properly. At the end of life of the GFCI, it alerts the user that a replacement is needed indicated by a “solid” red LED light.
