The Sony^® HDR-AS30V ships with a ruggedized, waterproof housing with universal tripod mount that is built to handle extreme environments, allowing you to concentrate on safety and composition while capturing Full HD videos. Within the housing, the camera is waterproof down to 16 feet and has a shock resistance rating for up to 5 foot drops plus dirt and dust resistant seals that help make it nearly impervious to mud, snow, rain, and grime.

Remote control operation with optional Live View Remote

Using optional Live View Remote accessory you can control the HDR-AS30V via Wi-Fi¹. This multi-functional watch allows you to frame your shots and control the camera's recording settings and start/stop record.

Thin and slim-line design receives less wind and water pressure and it is ideal for outdoor activities such as cycling. As compared to first generation Action Cam (HD-AS15) the new HDR-AS30V is 35% lighter and 25% smaller. The camera can be operated with simple buttons on the side of the housing.
