CARESTREAM Shield is intended to protect the wearer’s Eyes, Nose, and Mouth from acutely-expelled aerosols of bodily fluids. This face shield is to be used as supplemental personal protection equipment in conjunction with a facemask, goggles, or other PPE. The product alone does not prevent the contraction of disease or infection. This product may be used in Medical or other environments where Face Shields are needed. This product includes the following materials that could come into contact with skin: Tritan MXF 121, Tritan MX 711, DOW LDPE 722, INEOS Polypropolene, Poron 4701, Adchem 256M-74, and Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET). The device was assessed for flammability and is not considered to present a significant flammability hazard. The product has not been FDA cleared or approved. The product has been authorized by FDA under an EUA for use by healthcare providers as personal protective equipment. This product is only authorized for the duration of the declaration that circumstances justifying the authorization of emergency use under Section 564(b)(1) of the Act, 21 USC 360bbb-3(b)(1) unless the authorization is terminated or revoked sooner. CARESTREAM Shield is a multiple-use product which the user should properly clean as recommended in the instructions included with the product. Discard or replace as needed such as when visibility or product effectiveness has been compromised in any way.
