The dorsal night splint is designed to hold the foot in the neutral position while sleeping. It is designed to alleviate the morning pain associated with plantar fasciitis. This dorsal night splint has a strap that gives you the adjustment choices for the correction you need for plantar fasciitis and Achilles Tendonitis relief.

• At night when you are sleeping the natural position of the foot is to point your toes.  This takes the strain off of the fascia although it allows the fascia to shorten during your sleep.  When you put your foot on the ground in the morning the fascia are suddenly stretched and damage occurs.  
• This night splint is not intended to produce a calf stretch all night.  The intent is to hold the foot at or near 90 degrees to prevent the fascia from shortening.
• Use the gel pack by freezing it then icing your fascia(bottom of your foot) for added relief right before you go to sleep.
