This Mason HD-A-Black hanger vibration isolator suspends equipment, piping, or duct work from a ceiling to isolate vibration and noise or to suspend a ceiling itself. The rubber element has low dynamic stiffness for deflection and reducing high frequencies. The hanger box is arc-welded steel for strength and durability, and a bushing projecting from the rubber element through the box prevents steel-to-steel contact at the bolting site. The design allows for deflection in two directions for increased noise reduction. This vibration isolator is suitable for use with pipe, duct work, hanging ceilings or to isolate noise in smaller equipment running above 800 RPM.

Shock and vibration control products (absorbers, mounts, and pads) reduce air and structure-borne dissonance by either blocking or absorbing sound waves, or damping or isolating vibrations that cause them. Shock absorbers, vibration damping mounts, and vibration damping pads can extend equipment life and help protect work environments, and they are most commonly used in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems or in other large machinery operations. Weight distribution determines the number of mounts or pads needed. If evenly distributed, the maximum load capacity per mount or pad should equal the total weight of the machine divided by the number of mounting points available.
Mason Industries manufactures noise reduction, vibration isolation, and seismic restraint control products such as mountings, hangers, and flexible connectors for mechanical equipment. The company, founded in 1958, is headquartered in Hauppauge, NY.
