What is Cubic Zirconia?
Cubic Zirconia, also known as CZ, looks very close to a diamond because of its brilliance and sparkle but is actually a man-made crystalline material. Cubic Zirconia can be made into different colors but most CZ’s are colorless and flawless in clarity. CZ’s look so close to a natural diamond that most people, with an untrained eye, will not be able to tell the difference between it and a genuine diamond.
Commercial production of CZ began in the 1970’s, and demand has continued to grow over since. Cubic Zirconia provides the consumer the opportunity to own a beautiful item of jewelry with the look of a diamond. CZ's can come in many colors and often imitate gemstones of many kinds.
