The new Carburetor is a direct replacement although it has different part number with supersedes the old one. which is no longer available. Improved design, with a larger fuel pump and no adjustable needle valve for idle. Installation relatively simple and can be done with basic tool.
Important: Make sure the air filter is thoroughly free of debris before installing it. This eliminates the risk of any particulates falling into the carburetor during its installation possibly putting you back at square one.
Once everything was installed, verify all the bolts be tight and all the connections be properly made and then start it. The engine May crank a few times as the fuel get into the carburetor, start right up and settle into steady RPMs. and move the throttle back an forth and the engine responded properly with no hesitation or surging.
