The large hole is used to strip the 1.6 - 3mm / 0.06 - 0.11 inch fiber jacket, the middle hole is used to strip the 600-900um buffer layer, and the small hole is used to strip the 250um glass fiber coating. The tool also has a safety lock, so you can easily store the tool when not in use.
