Zipbolt 13.950 Angled Slipfix Railbolt

The Angled Slipfix Railbolt is specifically designed for joining a handrail to a newel post at an acute angle (upstairs joint). The angled shaft is pre-installed into the rail (with a slight protrusion) and is then inserted into the fitted keyhole disc in the post. Once the connection is made, the Zipbolt gear drive system tightens the assembly using the included 5mm hex bit or an Allen key and provides the user with a perfect joint.

IMPORTANT: Do not use impact driver to tighten gear when installing this product.

Zipbolt Angled Slipfix Railbolt Bulk Packs come with a hex bit to assist with tightening gear housing
For additional help with installation, the optional Zipbolt 40.260 Railbolt Drill Guide or Zipbolt 40.280 Universal Drill Guide are available separately and allow for drilling perfect holes, every time.
Zipbolt Angled Slipfix Railbolts are also available in blister packs, which include all necessary installation components as bulk packs, with the addition of wood plugs.


Step 1 - Install Discs After prep work, drill a 1" hole in the newel post and install the keyhole disc with the provided screws. Make sure disc is flush or slightly under in post.	Step 2 - Fit Railbolt Dry fit the railbolt to ensure proper angle and fit and adjust cut if needed.	Step 3 - Tighten and Glue After fitting, glue and insert the angled tip into the keyhole disc and tighten with included 5mm drill bit. IMPORTANT: Do not use impact driver to tighten gear when installing this product.
