How to Keep Your Pan Pristine
The secret to a beautiful cast iron is simple, easy, and really no secret at all. Here’s the deal: this pan comes pre-seasoned to begin its progressive flavor building. With each use, the pan gains more and more taste and has life-long durability with the proper care. With more use comes more flavor. The only catch—without good care, you’ll be grill-ty as charged if the pan isn’t looking as 'hot' as you’d hoped. So to keep it looking perfect, after cooking, wash with soap and water (use a bristle brush for stubborn marks), and dry thoroughly. Apply a thin layer of cooking oil to its surface, then, simply place the cast iron upside down in a 375°oven for an hour with aluminum foil underneath to catch any drippage. After baking, let it cool, then store it away until next time.
