There are two versions of the Talking Bible:

one model is solar powered
the second model is battery powered

The solar model comes with an enclosed rechargeable battery that is recharged by placing the unit in direct sunlight, or by using an optional USB charger connected to the mini USB port.

The battery model operates on three penlight AA batteries included with the unit.

In addition to English, the Talking Bible also comes in other languages too. For example, there is a Chinese Mandarin Version, an Arabic language version, a Spansih language version, and a Russian language version.
